Mismatched Jars & Vases:
Arrange candles in mismatched jars and vases filled with a variety of items, such as wine corks, acorns, cranberries and other fall items.
Mix & Match Patterns:
Mixing china patterns is a popular way to add a touch of style to your Thanksgiving table. Check out the selection of china in the housewares section of any of the Goodwill locations. If you have patterned china, grab any solid color plates to coordinate. Don’t be afraid to mix patterns. To avoid looking tacky, make sure the patterns have at least one common, cohesive element.
Goodwill has a variety of textiles and linens. Use them to add a little fall color to your holiday table.
Spray paint pinecones, mini pumpkins, figurines, candle sticks and other items for a chic and sophisticated look.
Pine Cone Arrangement:
Find a hurricane vase, or any large vase, and place a candle inside. Place the vase in a large bowl and add pine cones around the vase.
Bowl of Gratitude:
Create a centerpiece that celebrates the meaning of the holiday. Decorate a large glass bowl or vase with ribbon and text. Place it in the middle of your table with pieces of paper and pens. Have your guests write what they are thankful for, and then have them place their answers in the bowl.
