Central Administration:

Grant Accountant 

  • Location: MERS/Goodwill Aftergut location, St. Louis City
  • Duties: Coordinate/verify documentation for grant reports, review monthly income statements; and assist with Single Audit – A 133.
    • Review monthly grant income statements for accuracy and completeness. 
      Assist in coordination and completion of the annual Single Audit – A 133. 
    • Invoice preparation and processing, including document maintenance and monthly account reconciliation. 
    • Perform monthly aging analysis with distributions to CFO.
    • Responds to financial transition  inquiries for the agencies internal and external customers. 
    • Makes recommendations regarding accounting of transactions and related procedures. 
    • General ledger maintenance and provider assistance with month end closing.
    • Other duties as assigned.
  •  Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Accounting with 2 years equivalent experience.

Job Coach  – Autism Spectrum Disorder

  • Location: Lippman Center, St. Louis County
  • Responsibilities: Assist consumers with ASD maintaining employment in the community. Provide vocational support and facilitate/ maintain relationships with employers. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) training and proficiency required. Excellent time management and written/verbal communication required. Valid driver’s license, independent transportation, and vehicle insurance required.
  • Qualifications: High School diploma and 2 years experience in social service required, Bachelors degree preferred.

Supported Employment Case Manager

  • Location: Belleville, IL
  • Duties: Help Individuals obtain employment based on their interest, abilities, and support needs. Maintain current knowledge of the job market, local employers, and have an understanding of the individual’s limitations. Also required to communicate regularly with referral sources and maintain consumer files.
  • Qualifications: High School or equivalency required. BS/BA in Social Services or related field preferred; experience working with people with disabilities, particularly with brain injuries, strongly preferred. Current driver’s license, auto insurance and independent transportation required.

Job Coach

  • Location: Metro St. Louis; St. Louis County; St. Charles, MO area; Metro East, IL area
  • Duties: Assist individuals to maintain employment commensurate with their social, psychological, and medical needs and abilities; assist employers to facilitate the successful employment of people with disabilities. Job Coach will provide training and assistance to persons with disabilities to help them maintain competitive employment.
  • Qualification: High School or equivalency required. BA/BS in Social Services or related field and directly related work experience preferred. Current driver’s license, auto insurance, and independent transportation required.

Workforce Development Services

Case Manager

  • Location: Caruthersville, MO
  • Duties: Help Individuals obtain employment based on their interest, abilities, and support needs. Maintain current knowledge of the job market, local employers, and have an understanding of the individual’s limitations. Also required to communicate regularly with referral sources and maintain consumer files.
  • Qualifications: Previous case management and experience preferred. Bachelors strongly preferred. Salary based on education and relevant experience.

Evaluation Case Manager

  • Location: Alton/Belleville, IL
  • Duties: Supervise clients within structured work site; observe workplace behaviors, skills, presentation and abilities; complete hand-written as well as typed notes regarding each client’s demonstrated ability to complete assigned tasks; conduct psychometric testing to gauge possible career interests; maintain regular communication with referral source. 
  • Qualifications: High School or equivalency required. BA/BS in Social Services or related field and directly related work experience preferred. 

Other Services

Job Coach – Summer Transition Program

  • Location: South County Rehab Center, St. Louis, MO and surrounding area
  • Duties: Assist consumers with maintaining employment in the community. Provide vocational support and facilitate/ maintain relationships with employers. Excellent time management and written/verbal communication required. Valid driver’s license, independent transportation, and vehicle insurance required.
  • Qualifications: High School or equivalency required.

Janitor 

  • Location: Aftergut Center, St. Louis city
  • Duties: Work with maintenance team to keep headquarters building in order through cleaning duties to include: cleaning floors, cleaning bathrooms, emptying trash, moving furniture as needed, cleaning walls and glass. Periodic floor stripping, waxing, buffing. Will report to Maintenance Supervisor to complete other tasks as assigned.
  • Qualification: Janitorial experience required, experience in stripping and buffing floors preferred.

Accountant

  • Location: St. Louis Agency on Training (SLATE), St. Louis City
  • Duties: Monitor contract compliance for fiscal department. Review, analyze and process reimbursement requests and vouchers. Prepare financial statements and reports, prepare journal entries. Post data to appropriate accounts and general ledger, reconciles to general ledger. Generate receipt and payment summaries. Review disbursement vouchers, requisitions and invoices. Prepare deposits, may prepare fund transfer requests. Gather budget information as requested. Maintain vendor, contract, ordinance and project information. Act as a liaison between department and other agencies, contracts and vendors.
  • Qualifications: AA/AS in Accounting or related field required. BA/BA in Accounting or related field preferred. Experience in working with fiscal departments of federally funded agencies preferred.

Lead Pre-School Teacher – Daycare 

  • Location: St. Louis city, Aftergut Center
  • Duties: Create lesson plans, complete meal count, attendance records; engage in children’s play and communicate appropriately with parents. Observe and document children’s development and supervise children. 
  • Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age with a High School degree or equivalency. 2 years’ experience working as a supervised Teacher in a Daycare or School setting required.

Assistant Teacher – Daycare 

  • Location: St. Louis city, Aftergut Center
  • Duties: Supervise children, assist with creating and implementing lesson plans.  Create positive and inviting environment for children and assist with the development and measurement of individualized goals for children.
  • Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age with a High School or equivalency. 2 years’ experience working as a supervised Teacher in a Daycare or School setting required.

Case Manager- Halfway House

  • Location: St. Louis City, Aftergut Center
  • Duties: Assist adult female ex-offenders in residential setting to meet re-entry needs. Maintain working knowledge of community resources, document and verify all activities; and provide assistance in crisis situations. Maintain strong working relationship with Probation and Parole. Available for 24-hour on call assistance.
  • Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Social Work, Counseling, Criminal Justice Administration, Psychology, Sociology or closely related field required.

Security Monitor

  • Location: St. Louis City, Aftergut Center
  • Duties: Monitor residential facility to ensure security of residents. Assist residents with daily needs.
  • Qualifications: High School or equivalency preferred.

Retail Division:

Class A Truck Driver

  • Location: Springfield, MO
  • Must have Class A license 
  • Drivers will be home every night (excluding special trips)
  • Standard hours are between 7AM and 6PM
  • Full-time hourly position with benefits 

Maintenance Tech

  • Location: Retail Stores in the Metro St. Louis area
  • Duties: General building maintenance, including painting, plumbing, electrical and drywall work. Assist with new store set-up.
  • Qualifications: High School or equivalency required. Building maintenance experience preferred.

Floor Tech

  • Location: Multiple location in MO and IL
  • Duties: Standard janitorial cleaning including floors, bathrooms and sales floor area. Must be able to clean base boards, mop, dust, use standard floor buffers and other large equipment related to floor cleaning.
  • Qualifications: High School or equivalency. Previous experience  preferred.
